  Great customer service! Especially Lulu! We were unable to find the size that we needed in store so she helped us order it right online while in the store. Highly recommend this specific location!

  DICK'S Sporting Goods was founded in 1948 when an 18-year-old Dick Stack was working at an Army surplus store in Binghamton, New York. An avid fisherman, Dick was approached by the store owner to come up with a list of products needed to get into the fishing tackle business. After Dick presented his suggestions, the owner told him he was a dumb kid and had no idea what he was doing. Dick was upset and promptly quit. He went to his grandmother's house where he spent a lot of time as a kid and told her what had happened. Dick's grandmother asked how much it would cost to build the store himself. Dick said it would cost $300. His grandmother then went to the cookie jar where she kept her life savings and gave him $300 and told him "do it yourself." Dick used that money and his relentless work ethic to open a bait-and-tackle shop in Binghamton. By 1958, he expanded his product line to include much of what you'll find at DICK'S Sporting Goods today.

  I rarely go here because I can usually find everything I need cheaper elsewhere. I was looking for some electronic ear protection and found the pair I was looking for in Amazon ($40-Original Manufacturers were the ones listing them) for half the price then Dick’s was selling for($80). They had them in stock and I wanted to check them out in person. They were selling them at full original price and since I was there I asked an employee if they could price match. At first, the employee I spoke to said they prop couldn’t because it was such a huge difference in price but since it was the original manufacturer that had it listed he would ask a manager. Manager was hesitant at first but decided to give me the price match. I couldn’t be happier with the customer service they provided. Both employee and Manager went out of their way to help me out and I appreciate it and helped me save a ton of money.

  Great store for everything sports. I love going here when i need last minute fishing gear. Always a decent selection. They seem to keep up with the ever changing trends also. Employees always are friendly and ask if i need help.
